With the advancement of technology and new works, the world has evolved, increasing the desire to learn new languages. But many people still believe that they are not that important.

As a language student, I hate hearing those things because I study for this, and I love doing it. What would you do if someone criticize something you love? I think you’d be mad too!

What are the advantages of studying languages? That’s a simple question.

First, I think that languages are important to do anything. If you want to be a translator you need to learn languages, if you want to be an English, French or Spanish teacher you need to study them… but let me do an easy example: if you want to travel the world you need to understand other languages. Languages’ studies are also important for our personal cultural background. Did you know that University of Languages allow you to attend universities abroad? That’s fantastic! You can do what you love… anywhere! You can study your favourite language and you can make friends too! If you choose to go to university overseas, you’ll meet a lot of people who do that as well.

What I’m trying to say is don’t underestimate this kind of studies and especially never judge what a person decides to do in her/his life.
