Artificial intelligence is getting closer than ever to the human mind and, day by day, it is creating extremely sophisticated robots capable of doing activities that, up ‘till now, have always been done by people, even waiters have become mechanized!

As we all know, as the years go by, artificial intelligence (AI) is slowly starting to introduce more and more sophisticated machines to reduce our stress and probably to make robots do the hard work.

Are robots capable of doing what humans have always done, though? Well, probably yes, if not even more capable and efficient than us in doing what have always been our jobs.

You could be thinking that robots don’t have that big of an impact on your life but you would be wrong; in fact even a vacuum cleaner or a cooking machine is artificial intelligence.

Here a few examples of some of the latest inventions in the robotic area: food-sorting robots, used to sort out rice or other types of cereal usually; medical training robots, used by doctors to make diagnosis and treat different conditions; sewer inspection robots, usually used by workers as aid in  fixing broken pipes down the sewer (which is not an easy or fun job).

One of the most important and latest creations, which I’m sure is known by almost everyone these days, is the drone.

At first drones  were used as a toy or as a camera but, lately, extremely big companies have started introducing  drones  as a faster way of delivering purchases to export every kind of product to the client’s house. But s they’re not very reliable at present. Just think about the fact that there’s no human mind guiding them in their journeys so they could break any second just by bumping into a wall for example. We hope in the future in their capability.

The only worrying thing about AI,  humanoid and robots is that even scientists, right now, have no idea of where they could take us and how dangerous it could be using them. So, for sure, we should be as careful as possible when using these robots. We should invest and benefit from AI but it should be controlled and we should always keep an eye on it to understand when we should hit the brakes.
